When Your Powers Combine

This page is a listing of five related stories, for a themed issue of NUviews.
The idea behind the photo is to invoke a scene in a cartoon TV show in the early 1990s, “Captain Planet,” when all four main characters “combine” their powers to bring forth Captain Planet. Andy Nelson, NUviews editor and publisher, thought that would be appropriate for the story, so I commissioned the photo.
Originally, the art that appears here was to appear on the spread opener for the main story, but it came in strangely distorted as a horizontal, so we selected a different piece of art and used it, cropped, for the table of contents.
