Art’s healing power

We had an interesting challenge with this page. Feature stories on our Sunday section front pages often get the best art play in the entire newspaper, because there’s a lot of space inside the section for text.
But, in this case, we had a couple of pieces of art that the section editor asked me to minimize, because she was concerned that readers might be bothered by the sculptures’ representations of nudity.
The end result was a nice rail showing off the sculptor’s artwork, which I was worried I would have to bury on the jump page.
