Changes engulf us…2>

Osceola County, south of Orlando, is one of Florida’s fastest-growing counties. It’s also changing dramatically, from a county of cattle ranchers and farmers to one of suburbanites and Latinos.
So, for their 2006 Year in Review story and photo package, the county editor and photo editor decided to highlight those changes.
I’ll be honest: This package really designed itself, with some minor tweaks from design editor Stephen Komives and senior designer Todd Stewart, who were a tremendous help with the page.
But I shouldn’t be too modest, because this three-page package won me our weekly award for best-designed page, the coveted Sow’s Ear Award.
