This year’s festivities play out under March sun

We had the excellent fortune of getting a doubletruck for our week-end wrap-up photo package of Daytona Beach’s Bike Week. That’s a pretty big production and strongly influences the goings-on more or less everywhere in Volusia County for seven days and change.
In addition to the unfortunate casualties that happen every year, Bike Week is an awesome opportunity to showcase local photography.
I owe all the credit for the doubletruck to photographer Jacob Langston, who did an awesome job, and to former photo editor Ken Lyons. Without their help and guidance I would have had nothing to showcase here.
With the front page, on the other hand, I was guided by senior designer Todd Stewart, our promo specialist.
What a team! We fielded plenty of praise for this package, both in the newsroom and out. Thanks, Jacob, Ken and Todd.
