Understand. Adapt. Act.

My calling card is innovation with no fear of the unknown. I am a cross-functional journalist, editor and programmer. My mission is to bring a journalist’s eye to technology and a hacker’s eye to the news. Each day I strive to learn something new and to cross a new technological frontier, to find a new technique to tell a story better or get it done faster.

My portfolio as a designer and art director includes market-tested and award-winning printed and interactive pieces. My work has been recognized by associations as diverse as LeadingAge, the Society for News Design, the Florida Society of Newspaper Editors and the Society of Professional Journalists of South Florida. I have managed creative and technical projects, functional teams and software rollouts.

About me

I am currently the Director of Communications at Westminster Communities of Florida, a not-for-profit, faith-based provider of housing and services to seniors. At Westminster I am responsible for the in-house creative communications team, overseeing communications for marketing, media and internal audiences. Previously I served as Information Design and Editorial Technology Editor at the Orlando Sentinel, working in print and interactive media as an editor, designer, graphic artist, technologist, programmer and coach.

I'm a talented editor and copywriter, and fluent in a wide range of print and interactive technologies from Adobe InDesign to HTML/CSS/JavaScript. My work has won awards from the Society for News Design, the Florida Society of Newspaper Editors and the Society of Professional Journalists of South Florida.
